Danielle and Michael's Wedding:

From the first phone call to John I knew that we would be pleased with our wedding photos. Since we were in Arizona, and would not be arriving to the island until one day before the wedding, John gave recommendations for time and location of our wedding ceremony. He was always available, and I received a timely response to all emails and phone calls.

As a typical "nervous bride", John's professionalism and creativity helped the day go smoothly. With the changing weather and lots of tourists, he did an amazing job setting the correct lighting and making it look like we were the only people on the beach.

Best of all, our photos were ready by the time the honeymoon was over, and we were able to take everything home with us on the plane! I have heard from many of my family and friends that our photos look like they were taken right out of a bridal magazine.

Brandon and Keri's Wedding:

Because our family and friends were not with us in Hawaii for our wedding, it was very important for us to have our special day captured by photographs we would always treasure. Seeing those photographs for the first time only a few short days after our special day just blew us away. We were amazed, and love them so much! It is tough to choose our favorite when they all are so beautiful. Not only were the photographs in a beautiful album, it was so great to have them to take home with us after our honeymoon. When our friends and family come into our home and see them displayed, they admire the way the photos portray us perfectly and so naturally.

We truly appreciate your professionalism and instruction as we spent the afternoon with you. Thank you for your respect and reverence for the beautiful temple grounds where you took most of our photos. It means a lot to us, and we are grateful for your hard work!

Angela Salvato's Family Portrait Shoot:

How can I ever thank you for making dreams come true. You captured a very special time in my family’s life, a time when we were all together in paradise.

I am so grateful to you for your patience and creative vision. I was concerned prior to the shoot about the number and age differences of all of us for the pictures. I wondered if you would be able to get one good picture. Well, my concern was quickly disposed of, as you took charge with such warmth and ability. All of us knew we were in the hands of a pro.

The only problem that did occur was that almost every picture was great and I wanted them all enlarged. I was very surprised at the pictures of Joe with the children in the surf. I never saw you take them, and was told you had packed up your camera when you saw them get in the water, and then unpacked your equipment and captured the essence of our family being together in Hawaii.

I will recommend you to any one who wants to capture special moments in their life in pictures.

Emily and Pete's Wedding:

At first the search for a wedding videographer was discouraging. My fiancé and I wanted someone who was talented yet affordable, considering our humble budget. It seemed like most businesses we checked either had cheap-looking work or were out of our price range. Finally, after much searching and prayer, I visited John Lutfey's website. I called him, and he arranged a meeting; not only so I could see his work, but so that he could get to know my personality in order to make me look my best in the video. My fiancé was deployed at the time, so John suggested that the three of us meet post-deployment, so that he could do the same for him.

I was impressed with John’s knowledge as well as the video samples he showed me. We also talked about his photography. His pricing was extremely reasonable, especially for the quality and amount of work he offered. So when my fiancé and I met with him again, we asked him to do our photography too!

From then on, John was available and informative. On my wedding day he and his assistant arrived at my house at the agreed time for getting-ready shots. Both of them worked in a way that was professional, calming, fun and friendly. They also made it to the wedding site early to scope out the scene. Throughout the day they got along perfectly with our wedding party, family and friends, and were open to any specific requests we had.

John was just as great after the wedding when he delivered the pictures and DVD to my new husband and me—made sure all was to our satisfaction, and insisted that we call him for anything else that we needed.

We are thrilled with the beauty of our pictures and DVD! Working with Dream Maker Photography and Video was truly an answer to prayer. The next time we want to capture very special memories, we plan to contact John again. We know that we will be delighted!

Gates Senior Portrait:

From the moment our oldest daughter found out we would be vacationing in Hawaii, she dreamed of having her senior portrait done there. Realizing this was a fabulous idea, I started checking into photographers.

After receiving responses from several professional photographers and reviewing their photo galleries online, John Lutfey was the obvious choice. His photos looked absolutely amazing. After his very prompt responses to my inquiries, we booked a date that worked well for everyone at a beautiful beach John suggested.

To our disappointment, the weather did not cooperate that particular evening, and my daughter was nearly heartbroken with the thought of not having this dream of hers come true. However, John cheerfully came to the rescue, and suggested we try again the following evening at another location.

The next day paid off with beautiful weather and a beautiful setting. John's sense of humor kept our daughter laughing and smiling during the entire shoot, and now we have some absolutely beautiful, natural photos of our daughter, from which we now need to attempt to choose the best of the best. That's definitely the hard part.

Using his professionalism and talent, John was able to capture not only our daughter's beautiful personality and smile in the photos, but also the beauty of Hawaii in nearly every shot.

I could go on and on about how incredibly wonderful John was to work with and the quality of his photos, but instead will conclude by saying that I strongly recommend John to anyone desiring the best photography available in Hawaii.
